Resolutions for the 2019 Cambridge Traveler
he new year is almost upon us, and it's time to start thinking of our annual resolutions. But on top of the traditional personal ones—go to the gym more, go to bed earlier, eat healthier—we also have our eyes on promises that encourage us to travel and experience destinations like our home city. Here are the steps we're excited to take in 2019 in Cambridge.

WITNESS MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS

This year has been an exceptional one for Boston sports fans. It began with the New England Patriots playing in the Super Bowl. Then the Celtics and Bruins finished 2nd in their division. And most recently, the Red Sox had a stellar season, winning more games (118) than any team since 2001, and ending the year as World Series champs. Our wish for 2019? Another year of success for our beloved local teams.

SEE MORE INCREDIBLE EXHIBITS

Boston's many museums are constantly pushing the envelope with their thought-provoking exhibitions. Here in Cambridge, the Harvard Art Museums are set to debut a new exhibition on the university's relationship with 20th-century Bauhaus architecture. And across the Charles, in Boston, we're excited to see several exhibitions set to open at the MFA, including ones on Frida Kahlo, Toulouse Lautrec and contemporary gender-bending fashion.

DISCOVER NEW NEIGHBORHOODS

While staying with Freepoint Hotel in 2019, make it your goal to explore some of the coolest and most interesting surrounding neighborhoods. First off, explore all of Cambridge's unique squares, each with a different feel. Next, venture over to Boston, where the Innovation District has become a national leader for creativity.

REVISIT THE STAPLES

New years are exciting because they represent new opportunities, new experiences, and new hopes. But they also represent a chance to look back at what's still important. In historic Cambridge, we've got one foot towards the future and another towards our rich heritage. Celebrate that while you're here by visiting, or revisiting some of the main attractions in the Boston area, from Harvard's centuries-old campus here in Cambridge to Paul Revere's house in Boston.
